Barley Wine is a style of classic beer that is starting from 15th century England.
Different from other common beer, the brewing process of Barley Wine is complicated and long. We need to use more 3 to 4 times malt using than usual.
After the fermentation, we will put them into used bourbon barrels made from American Oak for six months to give this beer a taste of wood and the color of dark fruit.
Because the barrels have the flavor of bourbon whiskey, Barley Wine will have the smells of roasted toast, caramel, molasses, and toffee when these complicated works finished.
During the brewing, the brewer will add hops to decrease the sweet taste from malt. If you aren’t used to tasting sugary drinks, Barley Wine is the best choice to drink in winter.
Another worth thing we have to let you know is DB Brewery's Barley Wine won the gold medal and Taiwan Winner in 2019 World Beer Awards (WBA). In the same year, 2019, Barley Wine also got the gold award of the Japan International Beer Cup (IBC)
